VALUE FOR TIME




To everything, there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven (Ecclesiastes 3:1)

Our entire life is measured by time. Your success and achievement are directly proportional to the time invested therein. To the one that is a medical doctor, for instance, it means that he has invested 5 or 6 years of his time in learning and acquiring knowledge to practice as a medical doctor. It, therefore, means that he traded time for the skill. We have a period here on earth to fulfill our purpose. It would be suicidal to attempt to waste it for we have but one life.

Try as much as you can to always engage yourself with profitable discussion, and not involve yourself with gossip. David knew the importance of understanding the value of time which made him pray to God on behalf of the people he was ruling. He prayed in this manner, Father, 'Teach us to number our days so we may apply our heart unto wisdom" (Psalm 90:12). This prayer means that God should teach us how to have plans for our lives and work towards achieving them.
