Expect The Best

"For surely there is an end, and thine expectation shall not be cut off" (Proverb 23:18).

Norman Vincent Peale asked a newspaper editor,  "How did you get to be the editor of this important paper? The man replied, "I wanted to be". Naturally in this process of achieving the best, it is important to know where you want to go in life. You can reach your goal, your best dreams can come true, and you can get where you want to go only if you know what your goal is. Your expectation must have a closely defined objective. Lots of people get nowhere simply because they don't know where they want to go. They have no clear-cut, precisely defined purpose. You can't expect the best if you think aimlessly.

Don't let yesterday's defeat rub you off today's victory. The awesome feeling that your today is loaded with blessings will position you on the winning side. God's Word (the Bible) confirmed that every day of our lives has been designed to be a blessing. It is therefore mandatory for you to expect the blessing of the day, "For Moses had said, Consecrate yourselves today to the LORD, even every man upon his son, and his brother; that he may bestow upon you a blessing this day" (Exodus 32:29). Sadly many folks will go to their business premises, job, expecting the worse to happen. "A man who is self-reliant, positive, optimistic, and undertakes his work with the assurance of success magnetizes his condition. He draws to himself the creative powers of the universe"(Norman Vincent).

Think Big

. 'For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he...' Proverb 23:4 Limited thinking prevents one from progressing. A man went fishing and each time he caught a big fish, he threw it back into the water and kept the smaller ones. When confronted, he said his frying pan was a small one and couldn't contain the bigger fish. He couldn't think of something else to do with the bigger fish. That is limited thinking. When a small idea gets into a big mind, it can produce enormous results, but if a great idea gets into a small mind, the idea will be reduced to the size of the mind. Each of us lives less of the life God intended for us when we...

Don't Relent On Your Prayers "After this manner, therefore, pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name." (Matthew 6:9) The child's mind is unwaved towards his parent. When you take your child to the school, he stays there with the faith that you will come back and pick him up after school. The child depends on and trusts his parents. If God is your Father which I trust He is, then depend and trust in Him.
