When You Are Faced Between Obeying God or Man.

'And
Saul said unto Samuel, I have sinned: for I have transgressed the commandment of the LORD, and thy words: because I feared the people,  and obeyed their voice' (1Samuel 15:24).

Acceptance comes with great delight. Desiring acceptance has led many astray. That is why many folks today no longer live their lives; they focus more on what people say and think of them. Today people post their nude pictures on their social media profiles just to gain more followers and likes.

Seeking to always please men and women can be very costly. A lady after dressing and going out, and nobody tells her you are beautiful, comes back feeling depressed saying to herself, maybe I am no longer beautiful. Why do people hate me? She will forget that God has already approved of her in His Word when He said 'You are fearfully and wonderfully made.

Seeking God's approval comes with you doing the right thing at all times irrespective of human influence. We should be like Joseph who chose to please God instead of pleasing his mistress. Choosing to please God comes with better glory. In the case of Joseph, had Joseph decided to please her mistress the highest the woman would do for him was to recommend him to her husband so that he can get a government job since the husband was a government official and that would be all? Whatever you think sin can give you, faith in God can give you something better. Joseph a slave became second in command in a foreign land all because he sought to please God instead of man. The Bible tells us that when we choose to please man instead of God we enter a trap. "The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe" (Proverb 29:25).

They are no doubt that God positioned men to be of help but we must know that it is your faith in God that drives this for no man can sincerely help you if God is not involved. Nehemiah got favor from the King after he sought God's face. "... And the king granted me, according to the good hand of my God upon me". (Nehemiah 2:8).

Think Big

. 'For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he...' Proverb 23:4 Limited thinking prevents one from progressing. A man went fishing and each time he caught a big fish, he threw it back into the water and kept the smaller ones. When confronted, he said his frying pan was a small one and couldn't contain the bigger fish. He couldn't think of something else to do with the bigger fish. That is limited thinking. When a small idea gets into a big mind, it can produce enormous results, but if a great idea gets into a small mind, the idea will be reduced to the size of the mind.       Don't Relent On Your Prayers "After this manner, therefore, pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name." (Matthew 6:9) The child's mind is unwaved towards his parent. When you take your child to the school, he stays there with the faith that you will come back and pick him up after school. The child depends on and trusts his parents. If God is your Father which I trust He is, then depend and trust in Him.
